Cecil King Books publishes only humanitarian nonfiction. We accept both unagented and agented submissions. Please see below the instructions for submitting your work by either of these means:

 

Unagented submissions:  Email submissions only; querry letter and letter proposal.

Please send an email that includes your name, address, telephone number, and a one to three paragraph synopsis of your work, along with the manuscript attached as a word or RTF file, noagt.submissions@everlybooks.com. 

 

Agented submissions: Email submissions strongly preferred. Please query first with an email to Editor-in-Chief George Taft (agt.submissions@everlybooks.com). The email should include a one-to-three-paragraph synopsis of the project, and a brief description of the author’s marketing platform (including any previous publications, copies of print/digital reviews, and media appearances). Once prompted, you may submit a full or partial manuscript, or a detailed outline.

 

A full manuscript is preferred for first time authors.
